- Dr. Khoa earned his Ph.D. degree in Pig Immunogenetics from Bonn University - Germany in 2008 and became the youngest Associate Professor in Animal Sciences in 2013.
- During the past 28 years, he has been working at Can Tho University as Head of Department of Animal Sciences (2012-2017), Southwest University of Science and Technology - China (2017-2019) as Guest Professor, Animal Husbandry Association of Can Tho as President (since 2014), Vietnam Pig Operation as Chairman (since 2024), Vietnam National University of Forestry at Dong Nai as Senior Consultant (since 2022) as well as companies as General Director, Director in Animal Health, and/or Senior Consultant (since 2015).
- In his professional career, Dr. Khoa has published more than 200 articles and 8 books in animal sciences, presented at myriad of local, national, and international conferences, as well as supervised many undergraduate and graduate research projects.
